Andy Carroll
|
I think we should sell him to Newcastle in January if we can. He doesn't score enough goals, injured too often and makes our team play one dimensional whenever he plays. For 15million who else would you rather see?

Not so fas', glasshopper. Man who sell Andy Calloll too soon, wake up with itchy defence.

Re: Andy Carroll

The injury concern is the only one I share.
We only really played hoofball when we were desperate for a second equaliser.
AC made at least two excellent, intelligent and well-executed passes which switched the point of our attack. He's not the mindless battering ram some of his critics make out, and yesterday provided ample evidence.

15 mil is fuck all for a striker these days. Think of what wed have done without him yesterday. The lad is a beast. You'd be daft as a brush to want him out.

I'm ok with him staying but wouldn't want him as plan A ever.
And I wouldn't lose sleep if he went

'doesn't score enough goals and injured too often'
Not the best sales pitch I've ever heard if we want to get what we paid for him.

Re: Andy Carroll

He's not fit and hardly ever has been since joining us...
When he was fit - towards the end of 2012/13 - he was playing well and scoring goals (some of them very decent - like the over-the-head volley against WBA in a game where I think that he scored twice in)...
Still, try telling THE DRUIDS that... They can't comprehend that... They don't believe in injuries... They see them as a sign of deceitful witchcraft...

You can't drop Sakho or Valencia to make way for him. If he doesn't want to be a regular sub then he should look elsewhere.
I don't want to go back to the Carroll/Nolan combo up front EVER.

Re: Andy Carroll

grasshopper, he wasn't even fit when he first played for us either...
Most of those 7 goals he scored in 12/13 were when he got match-fit...
If we can actually get him match-fit again then he'll prove to be a real asset for us... He's not just a battering-ram but has a decent level of technique and a powerful left foot... Much better than fucking CARTHORSE...
The issue is though; can we get him match-fit again and injury-free?... We have to otherwise we'll never see the best of him...

Hes not going to start every game just like Sakho or Valencia wont, we have brilliant options now and people want to ruin that? He will work well with Sakho or Valencia up top.

What a fucking moronic post. Yes because it's not like the other strikers wont get injured at any point will they? Not at west ham surely? Ffs

Surely we can get better than carroll. Someone who can score with his feet not just his head and be a target man

We should spend the 15 mil on sausage rolls and get Ian Pearce in on a free as our 3rd choice striker.
